Research

As a class that looks a the history, culture, and lived experiences of Japanese Americans, students were required to complete a research project to be presented at Sophia University to a collection of students who were looking at similar topics within the broader Japanese Diaspora. While the research lens was to look at the "Japanese-ness in Japanese America", students analyzed a variety of topics within the Japanese American experience and story. Below you can find copies of the Slides which students presented.

Transpacific Japan

Through exploring the transnational ties between Japanese Americans and Japan, we gained a deeper understanding of their unique experiences and contributions to American society leading up to our visit to Japan.
